Sights / Optics The front sight is a raised base dovetail sight with a brass bead, the rear sight is a folding adjustable U-notch sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: This rifle has a one piece smooth walnut monte carlo style stock with a straight raised comb, semi-pistol grip, semi-curved black plastic buttplate, and a forend with finger grooves. There are two sling loops. The stock has minor pressure dents, and splotches of discoloration. There are no cracks. The LOP is 13.5” from the back of the buttplate to the front of the trigger. This stock rates in about Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates at a 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its metal finish. There are flecks of rust on the barrel and receiver. The action is worn from use. The trigger housing has thinning finish. The barrel and receiver have light scratches and thinning spots..The markings are clear. The action has very little wear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Good to Very Good condition for a C&R.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Ruger .44 Magnum Carbine, officially known as the Ruger Deerstalker Carbine, is a semi-automatic rifle manufactured by Sturm, Ruger & Co. It was introduced in 1961 and remained in production until 1985. This particular .44 Carbine is in Excellent shape, The barrel is bright and clean with sharp rifling, the action is smooth and the lifter functions flawlessly.
