Our Assessment: The Redhawk was Ruger’s first large bore double action revolver and was available in several barrel lengths and chambered for an assortment of powerful cartridges such as .357 and like this one, .44 Magnum. Like the Security-Six before it, the Redhawk was designed by Harry Sefried as a part of their “6” line of guns (Security, Service, Speed, etc.) The Redhawk is a wrist-breaker, truly a beastly thrill to shoot, but as a tool, it’s best utilized when on the hunt should you run into a predator yourself. This example is in overall Fine-to-Excellent condition with minimal wear and a matching case. Good luck and happy bidding!
