Markings: The receiver is marked with “Ruger No. 1.” The barrel is marked “6mm REM” with appropriate proof marks.

Sights / Optics: The rifle features a mounted Leupold VX-III 4.5-14×40 Long Range scope with clear glass and a BDC with second focal plane. The scope appears to be in excellent condition, with precise adjustments for both windage and elevation.

Grip Configuration & Condition: The rifle features a two piece checkered wood stock and forend, capped semi-pistol grip, fluted straight comb, and a rubber buttpad with basket weave.  The stock shows mild handling marks with light wear.  There are scratches and compression marks throughout. The stock rates in about very good overall condition.

Type of Finish: Blued steel on the barrel and receiver.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is semi-bright, and the rifling is sharp. There is light erosion and fouling present. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 7/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 85% of its original finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling wear, primarily on the receiver and edges, with a few minor surface scratches. The wood has some small compression marks but retains its original gloss. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in about very good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The rifle includes a leather sling and the mounted Leupold scope.
