Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “STURM, RUGER & CO., INC. / SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A.” along with a warning to read the instruction manual. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number “133-01617”. The barrel near the receiver is marked “.338 WIN. MAG.”

Sights / Optics: The rifle is mounted with a Leupold Vari-X II 3-9x40mm scope. The scope has a duplex reticle, and the glass is clear. The scope is securely mounted using a Picatinny-style rail with scope rings.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The rifle features a checkered walnut stock with a capped pistol grip, fluted straight comb, schnable style forend, and a rubber buttpad. The forend has matching checkering. There are some minor handling marks, scratches, and small dings visible throughout, with a small area of finish wear on the left side of the buttstock near the buttpad. The right side of the forend as part of a sticker stuck to it. The LOP measures approximately 12 3/4″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the rubber buttpad. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling wear, with thinning on high-contact areas. There are some scattered light scratches and minor surface oxidation, particularly near the muzzle. The lever and trigger guard show mild edge wear. There is finish loss mid-barrel. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp and legible. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
