Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is mounted with a Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24×40 scope, with a duplex reticle. The glass in the scope is clear. The scope shows minor wear, with only a couple minor dings in the scope’s finish. Overall, the scope rates in Fine condition. The scope is mounted directly to the receiver by 1″ Ruger rings.

The LOP measures 13 3/4″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows only the most minor of handling wear. The stock’s finish is intact throughout. The stock fits tightly to the barreled action, with no play. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Excellent condition.
Type of Finish: Target Gray
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light wear, with minor thinning of the finish at the muzzle, along with a few light scratches throughout the metal surfaces. Otherwise, the Target Gray finish is largely intact throughout. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads range from lightly tooled to sharp, but all retain strong and serviceable slots. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. The aftermarket 2-stage trigger has a light, crisp, and clean break. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with its original serial number matching box, owner’s manual/paperwork, gun lock, and the scope as mentioned above. This rifle also comes with the original box and owner’s manual for the scope as well.
Our Assessment: The Ruger M77 Mark II KM77VT represents the heavy barrel varmint configuration of Ruger’s controlled round feed bolt action line, pairing the company’s robust Mauser style action with a 26 inch heavy contour barrel and laminated target stock. Chambered in .22-250 Remington, a high velocity varmint cartridge introduced in the 1930s and standardized by Remington in 1965, this rifle is built for flat trajectory performance and precision at extended distances. The Target Gray finish and wide beavertail forend reflect its varmint and bench oriented design, while the Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24×40 scope complements the rifle’s long range capability.
This example retains approximately 98 percent of its original Target Gray finish with only light thinning at the muzzle and minor surface marks. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and rates 10 out of 10. The laminate stock remains in Excellent condition with only the most minor handling evidence, and the rifle includes its original serial number matching box, manual, gun lock, and the Bushnell scope with its original box and paperwork.
