Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked, “702-96671 RUGER 77/17” The barrel is marked, “GREEN MOUNTAIN MADE IN U.S.A. WARNING: UNFIRED ROUNDS MAY NOT ALWAYS EJECT .17HMR”. The scope is marked “SIMMONS”, “6-24X44 MD SF PROHUNTER Master Series”, and “517703 MANUFACTURED IN CHINA”.
Barrel Length: 20” Fluted heavy barrel.
Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights on this rifle. The receiver is milled for the Ruger Scope rings mounting the Simons 6-24×44 scope. The scope has covered 1/8th MOA click turrets and side parallax adjustment. The turrets adjust with a positive click, the sight picture is clear and the light transmission is good. Overall the scope is in Very Good + condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one piece laminate thumbhole stock with cheek piece, capped pistol grip, three sling studs, and a rubber buttpad. The length of pull is 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows minor lines and compressions scattered throughout with no visible chips or cracks. The rear sling stud shows some minor surface rust. Overall the stock is in Very Good condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: This rifle includes one 10 round Ruger 10/17 magazine in Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains 99% of its metal finish. The finish shows some very light handling wear, with a small patch of surface rust on the top of the barrel just in front of the receiver, and a second spot on the bottom of the receiver just in front of the trigger guard. The trigger guard shows some surface scratches. Overall this rifle is in Very Good to Very Good + condition.
Mechanics: The action functions as intended. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
