Our Assessment: The Ruger Precision Rifle (RPR) chambered in .243 Winchester is a high-performance bolt-action rifle designed for precision shooting. The .243 Win caliber provides a flat shooting trajectory and high velocity, making it an excellent choice for both varmint hunting and long-range target shooting. The rifle’s caliber, combined with the Ruger Precision Rifle platform’s design, offers a potent combination for serious shooters seeking superior accuracy and reach.

The RPR features a highly engineered chassis and a precision-machined bolt action, which is derived from the robust and reliable M77. The chassis system is built for stability and recoil reduction, which, when combined with the rifle’s in-line recoil path, manages recoil directly back to the shooter, aiding in shot-to-shot stability.

Ruger’s Marksman Adjustable trigger, which comes standard on the RPR, offers a crisp release with a pull weight that is user-adjustable between 2.25 and 5 pounds, catering to personal preference and situational demands.  With features like these, the Ruger Precision Rifle in .243 Win stands as a sophisticated tool for those aiming to push the limits of their long-range shooting prowess.  Please see our photos and good luck on your bid! – L.S.
