Markings: The trunnion is marked “L-3121-80”. The left side of the receiver is marked “PSL 54C / Cal. 7.62x54mm”. The scope is marked “LPS 4×6 TIP2 / Sr 14697-78’’. The left side recoil spring lug, rear of dust cover, bolt and bolt carrier is marked “L3121”. The right side of the receiver is marked “MADE BY CN ROMARM SA/CUGIR / IN ROMANIA / IMPORTED CAI GEORGIA.VT”.
Barrel Length: 26.5” with muzzle brake
Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post set between two protective ears and the rear sight is a “U” notched tangent leaf marked from “1 – 12” and “P”. The left side of the receiver has a scope rail with an attached LPS 4×6 TIP2 Scope. The sight picture is clear.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a skeleton stock with a rubber buttpad and synthetic handguards. The LOP measures about 13” from the back of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are light scratches and compression marks. There is a large scrape on the forend. There are no cracks. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: One 10rd 7.62x54R detachable waffle magazine in about Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. There is fouling in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling and storage wear. There is operational wear. There are light scratches throughout. There are scratches throughout the receiver and barrel. There is surface rust forming throughout. The screw heads are sharp. The pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good Plus Condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Romanian PSL-54C is a designated marksman rifle developed during the Cold War to provide extended range capability within a Kalashnikov based system. Manufactured at the Cugir factory under the Romarm umbrella, the PSL retains the long stroke gas piston operation and general layout of the AK platform while incorporating a longer barrel, reinforced components, and optics mounting provisions for improved accuracy at distance. Often compared to the Soviet Dragunov in appearance, the PSL is mechanically closer to an enlarged AK design adapted for the full power 7.62x54R cartridge, which was adopted by Russia in 1891 and remains one of the longest serving military cartridges in the world.
This example was manufactured in 1980 and retains about 97 percent of its original black finish with light handling wear, scattered scratches, and areas of surface rust visible across the receiver and barrel. The rifle is equipped with a skeletonized stock and synthetic handguards showing light wear with a notable scrape on the forend but no cracks, rating in Excellent condition overall. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and light fouling present, rating 9 out of 10 in this writer’s opinion. The rifle is fitted with an LPS 4×6 TIP2 scope on the side rail with a clear sight picture and includes one 10 round waffle magazine.
