Sights / Optics: The front sight is a small blade with a serrated rear face that is fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a flat top Square-notch that is dovetailed to the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered plasticgrips. The grips show no wear. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The back strap is serrated. The grips are in Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is semi-bright and the rifling is well defined. There is no erosion in the bore. There is fouling in bore. In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates at 7/10
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 70% of its metal finish. There are minor nicks and scratches and there is minimal wear on this pistol however most of the finish on the sharp edges are worn. Overall this pistol rates at a Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Remington Rand Model 1911-A1 Type 3 retained many of the design elements of the original M1911, including its single-action, semi-automatic operation and seven-round magazine capacity.
