The balance of the finish shows minor to light handling wear, with only minor superficial imperfections scattered throughout the metal surfaces. The jeweling on the bolt is vivid and bright. The bluing is deep and dark throughout. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Good to Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with the bipod and scope as mentioned above, along with a Limbsaver barrel deresonator, and a Limbsaver slip-on buttpad. The stock and overall condition was evaluated with the deresonator and slip-on buttpad removed.

Our Assessment: The Remington Model Seven LS was designed as a lighter, more compact companion to the Model 700, offering the same twin-lug push-feed action in a trimmer package suited for mountain and timber hunting. Introduced in the early 1980s, the Model Seven gained a loyal following among hunters who appreciated its balance and portability. Chambered here in .300 Winchester Short Magnum, a modern short-action magnum introduced in the early 2000s to deliver near .300 Winchester Magnum performance in a more compact platform, this rifle pairs substantial power with the handiness of the Model Seven footprint. The 22 inch barrel fitted with a radial muzzle brake enhances recoil management in this potent chambering.

This example retains approximately 98 percent of its original blued finish with only minor superficial handling marks. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and rates 10 out of 10. The laminate stock remains structurally sound with well-defined checkering and honest cosmetic wear consistent with use. The jeweling on the bolt is vivid, and the action and safety function correctly. With its Bushnell illuminated optic, bipod, and added recoil management accessories, this Model Seven presents as a capable and well-appointed hunting rifle in a powerful short magnum chambering.
