Our Assessment: The Remington 725 bolt action rifle was produced from 1958 to 1961. There where only about 16,635 of the 725 ever made. The 725 had a Monte Carlo stock, hinged floorplate, and an oversized 3 position safety.  The .222 Rem was a popular cartridge from its introduction to the mid-1970s.  It remains a popular round for varmint. This rifle would be a wonderful piece to have, if you are adding to your collection or just need an excellent rifle for varmint hunting or even just to take to the range for some therapy. -C.M
