Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “7MM REM MAG” . The left side of the receiver is marked “621880 / REMINGTON MODEL 700D” The buttpad is marked “PRESENTATION MODEL PACHMAYR”

Sights / Optics: Mounted to the top of the frame is a Zeiss Conquest3-9X40MC scope. The reticle is a duplex crosshair. The sight picture is clear. The scope is in Excellent condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is 1 Piece Grade 4+ Walnut Monte Carlo Style with checkered forend and semi pistol grip, 2 sling studs on the forend and belly of the buttstock, and rubber Pachmayr buttpad. The pistol grip has a rose wood cap. The forend has a rosewood tip. The stock has a blood stain on the right side running from the forend down the buttstock. It has a high gloss finish and has been buffed to see the grain and bloodstain. There are a few minor dents and scratches in the finish. There are no cracks or chips. The checkering is soft but defined. The LOP is 13 1/2”. The stock rates in Excellent Overall Condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is very light erosion in the barrel. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. There are some minor scratches on the receiver and barrel. The action has light operational wear. The bolt handle has lost some of its finish from handling and is starting to plum. The screw heads are sharp The pins are unmarred. The markings are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle/pistol/shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: To say this firearm is a piece of art would be an understatement. With its Grade 4+ Walnut stock with a bloodstain running from the forend to the buttstock, hand engraved Receiver, Bolt, chamber, trigger guard and floor plate, Basket weave Pachmayr buttpad, Rose wood cap and forend tip, it is the most beautiful firearm that has ever come through our writers room. The high gloss finish really makes the wood grain and bloodstain pop. There were no shortcuts taken in making this rifle.
