Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked with Remington’s address, “257 ROBERTS”, and the “PD” date code. The right side of the barrel is marked with a series of proof marks. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number and “Remington / MODEL 700 LIMITED”. The floorplate is factory laser engraved with “.257 / ROBERTS / 75TH / ANNIVERSARY / LIMITED”.
Barrel Length: 24″ Stainless Fluted.
Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece checkered walnut stock, with a capped semi-pistol grip, fluted straight comb with cheekpiece, black rubber Remington buttpad, a tipped forend, and sling studs front and rear. The LOP measures 13 1/2″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows no notable wear. The stock’s finish is intact, and the checkering is well defined. The stock fits tightly to the barreled action, with no play. The barrel is free-floating all the way to the action. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light storage wear from being stored in its original box. There are a couple of minor scratches on the top of the barrel at the muzzle. Otherwise, the stainless finish is intact throughout. The jeweling on the bolt is vivid and bright. The markings and engravings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. The factory installed X-Mark Pro trigger is adjustable, and has a crisp and clean break. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with its original serial number matching box and owner’s manual/paperwork.
Our Assessment: The Remington Model 700 CDL SF LTD 75th Anniversary is a limited-edition sporting rifle commemorating the .257 Roberts cartridge, pairing one of America’s classic mild-recoiling hunting rounds with an upgraded Model 700 configuration. This 2009 example features a 24″ stainless fluted barrel, checkered walnut stock, contrasting forend tip, jeweled bolt, and factory-engraved floorplate identifying the .257 Roberts 75th Anniversary Limited edition. The combination of traditional walnut furniture and stainless construction gives the rifle the classic appearance of the CDL line while adding the weather resistance and distinctive styling of the SF configuration.
This rifle is in Excellent condition overall, retaining about 99% of its original stainless finish with only light storage wear and a couple of minor scratches near the muzzle. The checkered walnut stock also remains in Excellent condition with an intact finish, well-defined checkering, a fully free-floated barrel, and no chips or cracks. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion, rating 10/10, while the action and safety function correctly. The factory-installed adjustable X-Mark Pro trigger has a crisp, clean break, and the bolt jeweling remains vivid and bright. The rifle includes its serial-number-matching factory box and owner’s manual/paperwork, adding desirable completeness to this limited-edition .257 Roberts Model 700.
