Sights / Optics: The top of the receiver is drilled, tapped and plugged. There are no sight apertures on this rifle. The rifle is optic ready.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a 1 piece HS Precision stock, fluted straight comb, raised cheekrest, rubber buttpad, semi pistol grip, grooved forend, 3 sling studs, 2 in the bottom of the forend and 1 in the belly of the buttstock. The LOP is 13.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. There are some faint scratches on the stock. There is moderate wear on the buttpad. The stock rates in Very Good Overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is defined. There is no erosion in the barrel. There is some stubborn fouling in the barrel. The bore rates 9/10
Overall Condition: This Rifle retains about 90% of its metal finish. There are light scratches on the receiver and barrel. The top of the receiver has finish loss where a scope was previously mounted. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good Overall condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

It is a development of the Remington 721 and 722 series of rifles, which were introduced in 1948.
