Our Assessment:  The Remington Model 1910 Small-Bore Military Rolling Block is a late-production rolling block rifle chambered in 7x57mm Mauser, using Remington’s strong single-shot rolling block action in a military configuration. The Model 1910 is generally described as a variation of the Model 1902, with a Remington Arms-UMC tang address and 7mm Mauser chambering. This example is configured with a 30” barrel, military-style barrel bands, bayonet lug, cleaning rod, barleycorn front sight, flip-up ladder rear sight, sling loops, straight wrist stock, steel buttplate, blued barrel, and case colored action.

This rifle is in Good condition overall, retaining about 92% of its metal finish with handling and storage wear, scratches, light thinning, receiver freckling, buttplate patina, and faint nicks on the buttplate. The three-piece wood stock rates in Good Plus condition, showing scratches and compression marks throughout, but no chips or cracks. The bore is bright with pronounced rifling, no erosion, and light fouling in the grooves, rating 7.5 out of 10 in this writer’s opinion. The action functions correctly, the markings are clear, and the screw heads are sharp. This Remington should appeal to collectors of late military rolling blocks, 7mm Mauser single-shot rifles, and early 20th-century Remington-UMC martial arms.
