Barrel Length: 21″, 22.5″ with muzzle brake.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post. The rear sight is a sliding adjustable aperture sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: This rifle incorporates a rotating carry handle, large knob charging handle, black synthetic buttstock and pistol grip, synthetic ventilated dark olive forearm, and sling swivels for a sling. The LOP measures 14.25” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition. There are no chips or cracks. There are only a few faint drag lines here and there.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. The bore does need a light dusting.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its original matt black finish. The balance of the finish shows little to no operation wear. The screw heads are sharp and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition for a Pre 1988 Original FAL.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with a DPMS Leather sling.
Our Assessment: The original FN FAL battle rifles were introduced in the 1950s in the midst of the Cold War and saw action across the globe. The FAL was adopted by many countries in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, with the significant exception of the United States. While AK-47 rifles are sturdier and do better in the various environments with less maintenance than the FN FALs and would ultimately inspire the development of the Galil rifle, the FN FAL design is timeless. The FN-FAL or Light Automatic Rifle is arguably the most reliable and accurate 7.62 battle rifle ever manufactured. This rifle is all original 100% build and assembled in Belgium by Fabrique National and their talented workforce. Limited numbers of these rifles were imported into the United States before FN discontinued production in 1988, so this is a rare find.
