Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded post. The rear sight is an adjustable diopter/rotary drum. The top of the receiver has a 2.5” Picatinny rail section welded on top.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set on this pistol include a polymer pistol grip trigger housing, and a narrow M-LOK aluminum forend with a PTR hand stop. The furniture set shows little to no handling wear. Overall the furniture is in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore but there is some faint fouling. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10 and appears unfired outside of factory testing.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are minimal handling marks throughout. There is light wear to the leading edges. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements. The bolt gap is 20 thousandths.

Our Assessment: The PTR 9KT is a modern American-produced pistol patterned after the compact MP5K platform originally developed by Heckler & Koch. Manufactured by PTR Industries in Aynor, South Carolina, the 9KT utilizes the same roller-delayed blowback operating system that defined the MP5 family of firearms. This system redirects recoil energy through rollers in the bolt head, providing smooth cycling and improved controllability compared to conventional blowback pistol-caliber designs. With its 5.83 inch barrel, compact receiver profile, and MP5K-style configuration, the PTR 9KT reflects the evolution of the classic submachine gun platform into a semi-automatic civilian pistol format. Chambered in 9mm Luger, the widely adopted service cartridge introduced in the early 20th century, the PTR 9KT feeds from MP5-pattern magazines and retains the familiar hooded front sight and rotary drum rear diopter sight system associated with the HK design. This example retains approximately 99 percent of its original black enamel finish with only minimal handling marks visible. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no visible erosion, earning a rating of 10 out of 10 and appearing unfired outside of factory testing. The polymer trigger housing marked “SEF” and the narrow M-LOK aluminum forend remain in Excellent condition, and the barrel features both a tri-lug suppressor mount and 1/2×28 threaded muzzle with knurled thread protector.
Mechanically, the roller-delayed action functions correctly and the measured bolt gap is approximately 0.020 inches. The receiver markings remain clear and the pins and screw heads are unmarred. Included with the pistol are two clear ETS 30-round magazines, original hard case, sling, tool, paperwork, and accessories. Overall, this PTR 9KT stands as a well-preserved example of a modern MP5K-style pistol, combining the classic roller-delayed operating system with contemporary manufacturing and accessory features. -R.E.
