Markings: Left side of the trunnion is marked with the factory “66” inside a triangular outline with “MS010994” next to it. The rear of the dust cover is marked “10994”. The right side of the receiver is marked, “S F”. The left side of the bolt carrier is marked “10994”. The bolt is marked “10994”. The “Gas Tube” is marked “10994”. The left side of the receiver is marked “56S/Semi Auto/7.62×39/ MADE IN CHINA / BY NORINCO/ SILE NY. NY”.
Barrel Length: 16.5” threaded. 17” with removable slant muzzle brake.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable hooded pin. The rear sight is a “U” tangent notch marked from “1 – 8” and “D”.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is wood with a smooth dark wooden pistol grip and dark wood buttstock. The LOP measures 12.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttstock. There are no scratches or impression marks in the wood. The handguard is two piece wood. The pistol grip is smooth wood. The furniture is an original matching set. There are no chips or cracks. The stocks rate in about excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the chrome bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minimal wear for a preban rifle of its origin. The rifle appears to be a safe queen and is unfired in this writer’s opinion. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. There is some wear around the receiver where the dust cover sits. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with its original green canvas sling, the cleaning tools, the bayonet, extra muzzle device, the oiler, the cleaning rod, manual and original box in excellent condition.
Our Assessment: Chinese import made weapons were produced on the same manufacturing lines as their military – simply modified to meet the semi auto requirement to be sold in the U.S. This means the quality is still the same quality produced and needed to fight in war.
