Markings: The left side of the barrel features the serial number “R012715”, the Pedersoli logo, “PEDERSOLI – ITALY / MADE IN ITALY”, “CAL. 40/65” and “CAT. 9513” which are above Italian proof marks. The top of the barrel is marked “DIXIE GUN WORKS TENNESSEE”. The left side of the receiver is marked with Italian proof marks including the date code “CA”. The top tang is marked “CAT. 9513” and has the serial number.

Barrel Length: 30”, Octagonal

Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a blade dovetailed to the muzzle end of the barrel. The rear sight is a square-notch dovetailed over an elevator at the rear end of the barrel.

Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The stocks are two-piece smooth wood featuring a forend with a cap, checkered semi-pistol grip, straight comb and metal buttplate. The stocks have some light handling marks but lack any notable defects. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP is approximately 13.5” from the set trigger and 14.25” form the front trigger to the rear end of the buttplate. The buttplate has a piee of blue tap on it. Overall, the stocks are in Fine-Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: The rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are some light handling and storage marks but the rifle lacks any notable defects. The markings remain clear. The screwheads are serviceable. Overall, the rifle is in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box Paperwork and Accessories: The rifle comes with its factory box, paperwork which includes a user manual and an informational VHS tape. The box has some handling wear but remains in Very Good condition.

Our Assessment: This Pedersoli Silhouette is a rolling block style single shot rifle that takes .40-65 Winchester cartridges. The rifle is a beautifully constructed modern rifle that pays homage to the 19th century rolling block rifles that were primarily manufactured by Remington. The rifle has a beautiful finish typical of Pedersoli’s quality craftsmanship and it is mechanically sound.
