Barrel Length: 32″ “Light” Octagon Barrel. The rifle weighs 10lbs 12oz.
Sights / Optics: The simple blade front sight has been replaced with a Montana Vintage Arms globe sight with a simple post insert. The rear sight is a semi buck horn sight with elevator. Both sights are dovetailed to the barrel. The tang is drilled and tapped for a tang sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set is a two piece smooth walnut. The stock is a straight hand grip, straight comb and has a checkered black plastic butt plate. The forend is a smooth Schnabel style forend. The LOP measures 14.25″ from the front trigger to the back of the butt plate. There are no chips or cracks. The butt plate shows some excess plastic around the edges from the factory. Overall the wood is in Like New condition.
Type of Finish: The barrel is matte blued and the receiver, lever and hammer are case color.
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion. The crown is clean showing no fouling. There are no scratches on the feed tray. If this rifle was fired outside of testing it was very little. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The left side of the barrel has a small mark about 6″ in front of the forend. The markings are clear and the screw heads are sharp. Overall this rifle is in about Excellent+-Like New condition.
Mechanics: This rifle has double set triggers, which function correctly. The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
