Markings: The right side of the barrel is marked “33 NOSLER”. The left side of the receiver is marked “NOSLER M48 BEND, OREGON”. The right side of the receiver is marked with the serial number.
Barrel Length: 24″. 26 1/2″ with 2-Port Muzzle Brake. Threaded 1/2×24, Brake is Removable.
Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is mounted with a one-piece Leupold picatinny rail for optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece textured carbon fiber stock, with a semi-pistol grip with right handed palm-swell, fluted monte carlo comb, black rubber buttpad, and sling rings front and rear. There is a rubber sling attached to the stock, and a BOG bipod adapter attached to the bottom of the forend. The LOP measures 14″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows light wear, with a few light scratches and dings scattered throughout. The stock’s finish is largely intact, otherwise. The stock fits tightly to the barreled action, with no play. There are no chips or cracks. The barrel is free-floating all the way to the action. Overall, the stock rates in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light operational wear on the bolt body, along with a few light scratches on the floorplate and trigger guard. The finish is largely intact, otherwise. The carbon fiber wrap around the barrel shows no imperfections. There is some marring on the scope base. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good to Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. The trigger has a crisp and clean break. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Nosler Model 48 Mountain Carbon represents the modern evolution of the American big-game rifle, built around Nosler’s proprietary M48 action and engineered for strength with reduced weight. Produced in Bend, Oregon beginning in 2021, the Mountain Carbon pairs a carbon fiber–wrapped barrel with a lightweight carbon fiber stock to deliver magnum performance in a mountain-ready platform. Chambered in .33 Nosler, a high-velocity cartridge introduced in 2016 and designed to deliver .338 Winchester Magnum class performance in a more efficient case geometry, this rifle offers serious authority for elk, moose, and other large North American game while maintaining practical field carry weight.
This example retains approximately 98 percent of its original Cerakote finish, with only light operational wear on the bolt body and minor surface marks on the floorplate and trigger guard. The carbon fiber barrel wrap is clean and intact, and the bore is bright with sharp rifling, rating 10 out of 10. The carbon fiber stock remains solid with a tight fit to the action and a fully free-floating barrel, showing only light handling marks. Equipped with a one-piece Leupold Picatinny rail, sling, and bipod adapter, this is a modern, hard-hitting magnum in a refined and highly capable configuration.
