Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its original finish. There are scratches scattered throughout. There is moderate handling and operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall this rifle is in Good to Very Good condition.
Mechanics: To operate this rifle you must remove the bolt, load the cartridge on the bolt and load both into the rifle. The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: Noreen Firearms introduced the ULR as an affordable, purpose-built ultra-long-range single-shot rifle, with the company entering the .50 BMG market in 2007. The original full-size ULR uses Noreen’s proprietary aluminum chassis, a 34″ 4140 chrome-moly barrel, substantial muzzle brake, A2-style pistol grip, and a telescoping stock assembly incorporating recoil-reduction springs. At approximately 32 pounds, the rifle was engineered around the demands of the .50 BMG cartridge while remaining mechanically simple. Its distinctive shell-holder bolt requires the bolt to be removed from the action, the cartridge slipped into the bolt face, and the loaded bolt reinserted and locked into the receiver. The original ULR was also supplied with a heavy-duty canting bipod manufactured by Noreen.
This example retains about 90% of its original Desert camouflage finish with scattered scratches and moderate handling and operational wear. The bright 34″ bore retains sharp rifling with no observed erosion and rates 9/10. The rifle retains its Noreen collapsible stock assembly, A2-style pistol grip, factory bipod, and proprietary muzzle brake, and it is fitted with a Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x56mm scope with an EBR-7C MRAD reticle. Mechanically, the shell-holder bolt system functions correctly. With its massive proportions, unusual loading system, and specialized long-range configuration, this is an imposing and distinctive example of Noreen’s original ULR .50 BMG rifle.
