Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45”. The top of the barrel is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.” The left side of the frame is marked “PAT. SEPT. 19, 1871” / “JULY 2, 72. JAN. 19, 75” and a Rampant Colt logo. The loading gate arm and the face of the cylinder is marked “549”. The rear face of the cylinder is marked with “45”. The inside of the grip panels are marked with “549”. The sides of the front and back straps are marked with the serial number. The bottom of the frame is marked with the serial number.
Barrel Length: 5 1/2”
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a quarter round blade fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a square groove milled into the topstrap which is visible when cocked.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece, checkered, black hard rubber with molded Rampant Colt in a circle and eagle/shield motif at the base. There is minor handling wear. The checkering is sharp and defined. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are scattered handling scratches. There is slight discoloration around the barrel and ejector rod housing. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is crisp. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

This Colt 3rd Generation Single Action Army is a .45 Colt single-action revolver with a 5 1/2″ barrel, nickel finish, fixed quarter-round blade front sight, and square-groove rear sight milled into the topstrap. The revolver retains about 97% of its original nickel finish, showing scattered handling scratches and slight discoloration around the barrel and ejector rod housing. The two-piece checkered black hard rubber grips feature molded Rampant Colt and eagle/shield motifs, remain sharp and defined, and rate in Excellent condition with only minor handling wear and no chips or cracks. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, no erosion, and rates 9.5/10 in this writer’s opinion. Mechanically, the action functions correctly and the trigger is crisp, though the revolver has not been test fired. Included are the white Colt factory box, blue Colt cardboard box, child lock, and paperwork.
