Sights/ Optics: U-notch rear and blade front.

Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The stock is curly maple with brass fittings. There are multiple spots of handling wear, minor scratches, scuffs, and small dents throughout. Overall the stock is in Very Good Condition.

Type of Finish: Metal: Barrel is coated in wax for storage, fittings are brass. Wood: Oil

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: Bore is frosted with some corrosion near the muzzle. Rifling is deep.

Overall Condition: This flintlock rifle is in Good Condition. The metal surfaces have minor handling wear and scratches throughout. The brass fittings all have small spots of finish loss, though this is more pronounced on the trigger guard and the buttplate. The barrel is coated in wax, but there are multiple spots of surface rust, particularly at the stock line. The lock has grease present on most surfaces.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box Paperwork and Accessories: 1x Gun flint, 1x powder box installed in the right side of the buttstock.

Our Assessment: This contemporary flintlock rifle was made by noted muzzleloading gunsmith Mike Lange. It has an octagon Colerain barrel, a Jim Chambers Golden Age flint lock, and a Davis single hunting trigger. This would fit great into any American contemporary flintlock rifle collection.
