Markings:
The barrel is marked with the Mauser banner logo and “ORIGINAL.” The receiver is marked “DBP 1 205 423” and the serial number “G08335.” The left side of the action is marked “Mauser-Werke A.G. Oberndorf a.N. Mod. 66.”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade dovetailed into a ramped post. The rear sight is a U notch. Mounted to the top of the receiver is a Hertel & Reuss Scope. The reticle is a duplex crosshair. The sight picture is clear.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The rifle features a checkered walnut stock with a Monte Carlo cheekpiece. The stock has light handling marks, minor finish wear, and a black rubber recoil pad. The Length of Pull (LOP) measures approximately 13 ¾” from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no visible pitting or erosion. There is some stubborn fouling in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates a 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 85% of its original finish, with light handling marks and finish wear on high-contact areas such as the receiver and barrel. The screw heads are sharp, and the markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
