Markings: The receiver is marked “Mauser Modelo Argentino 1909” on the left side and “Deutsche Waffen-Und Munitionsfabriken Berlin” on the top. The caliber, “.375 Sherman,” is stamped on the barrel near the receiver. The right side of the barrel bears the serial number, “E8783,” along with a faint proof stamp. The bolt handle, as shown in the images, appears unmarked.

Barrel Length: Approximately 24”

Sights / Optics: The rifle is equipped with a Weaver 1-3x20mm scope mounted on the receiver with a fixed rear sight removed for clearance. The scope features a duplex reticle and remains clear with functional adjustment dials.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The rifle has a custom laminated wood stock with a capped pistol, fluted raised comb with a cheek piece, capped forend, rubber buttpad, and a set of sling studs.   The stock shows no cracks or chips but has some handling marks and light scratches consistent with use.  The length of pull measures approximately 13 1/2” from the trigger to the buttpad. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition.

Magazine Quantity & Condition: The rifle has an internal magazine with a hinged floorplate.

Type of Finish: Blued

Finish Originality: Refinished

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its current finish. The balance shows thinning and minor wear from regular handling and operation. There is some light freckling and patina present on the barrel and receiver. The screw heads are sharp and serviceable. The markings are clear and legible. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The rifle includes the Weaver 1-3x20mm scope mentioned above.
