Markings: The receiver is marked “dot 1944” indicating production at Waffenwerke Brünn in Czechoslovakia. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number “29665” and additional proof and acceptance marks. The barrel, stock, and other components show various acceptance and inspection stamps, consistent with late-war K98k production.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded post with orange paint. The rear sight is a tangent-leaf sight adjustable for elevation.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The rifle has a laminated wood stock with a semi-pistol grip, handguard, and a cupped steel buttplate. The stock shows handling marks, small nicks, and wear but retains a solid structure. The laminated wood grain is visible, showing some discoloration and oil staining. There is no visible cracking or structural damage. The LOP measures approximately 13” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Good-Very Good overall condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: Internal magazine with a 5-round capacity. The magazine follower and floorplate show wear but function properly.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is light visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 8/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 75% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows thinning, handling wear, and edge wear, particularly on the barrel, bolt, and trigger guard. There are scattered areas of oxidation and surface wear from use. The screw heads are serviceable but show tool marks. The markings are clear and legible. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The bolt locks and cycles smoothly, and the trigger breaks cleanly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
