Our Assessment: The Mauser C96, commonly known as the “Broomhandle,” is one of the most iconic pistols of the early 20th century, used by military forces, revolutionaries, and adventurers across the world. Its unique design, integral magazine, and distinctive grip shape set it apart from other handguns of the era.
This particular example has been refinished, retaining about 98% of its reblued finish, but none of its original finish remains. While the bore is worn and pitted, the pistol remains mechanically functional. The original grips are broken but included with the package, and a set of replacement stocks has been installed.
Included with this pistol is a black leather holster, a cleaning tool, and two stripper clips, making this a solid collector’s package despite its refinishing. Whether you are a collector looking for a functional example of the legendary C96 or someone interested in a historically significant firearm, this Broomhandle is a fascinating piece of history. So bid high and bid firm. Please take a look at the condition in our high-quality photos. Good luck with your bid. -K.F.
