Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO. NEW-HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. / PATENTED OCT. 11. 1887. APRIL 2. 1889. AUG. 1. 1893.” in front of the rear sight and “32-20” at the receiver. The underside of the receiver is marked “346413”. The upper tang is marked “Marlin / MODEL ‘94”.
Barrel Length: 24” Half Octagonal, Half Round
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded beaded post dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight dovetail has been filled. The top tang is drilled, tapped and filled for a tang sight (not included). The top of the receiver is drilled, tapped, and filled.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece smooth walnut. The buttstock has a straight grip, straight comb, and a steel buttplate while the forend has a steel nose cap.There are scattered scratches, nicks, and compressions. The belly is cracked all around. The LOP measures 13 1/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stocks rate in about Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 60% of its finish. There are some minor scratches on the barrel exterior. Most of the finish on the receiver has worn to white. The barrel finish is strong throughout with some thinning and finish loss around the edges and at the muzzle. The screw heads are sharp with serviceable slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The hammer has a half-cock safety. The trigger is light and crisp. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
