Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CT. U.S.A.” followed by “* * * MODEL 1895M CAL. 450 MARLIN * * *”. The right side of the barrel has a safety warning: “WARNING: MISUSE CAN CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH – FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS IN OWNER’S MANUAL.” The serial number “00045407” is located on the bottom of the receiver.
Barrel Length: 18.5” with factory porting at the muzzle
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded brass-bead blade mounted on a serrated ramped base. The rear sight is a semi-buckhorn elevator sight dovetailed into the barrel. The receiver is factory drilled and tapped for scope mounting.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The rifle has a two-piece checkered walnut stock with a straight grip, a fluted comb, and a factory black rubber recoil pad. The forend has matching checkering and a blued steel cap. There are minor handling marks but no major cracks or chips. The LOP measures 13.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad. The stocks rate in about Fine condition overall.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: This rifle has a tubular magazine under the barrel, holding four rounds of .450 Marlin.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minor handling marks and slight thinning on the lever. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp and clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
