Overall, this rifle rates in Fine-Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. There is a cross-bolt safety, a lever safety, and a half-cock notch. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: For more than a century, Marlin’s 1894 has served as a popular pistol-caliber lever-action rifle. The design is still in production today and finds favor with both hunters and Cowboy Action Shooting competitors. This example is a Model 1894CB Cowboy Limited made with a 24” octagonal barrel and chambered for .44 Remington Magnum or 44 Special. The rifle is in Fine-Excellent condition with most of its metal finish remaining and little wear in the stocks. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and only a little stubborn fouling. With its smooth lever action, used with .44 cartridges it is perfect for Cowboy Action Shooting, brush hunting, or informal target practice. Lever action rifles are some of the most fun and will never lose their charm, this one is in nice condition making it a great “used” option. Please see our photos and good luck!
