Markings: The right side of the barrel is marked with Marlin’s two-line warning. The left side of the barrel is marked “THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. / ***MODEL 1894CSS CAL. .357 MAG.***” and is also marked with the “JM” proof. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number.
Barrel Length: 18.5”, Round
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a brass beaded blade dovetailed to a serrated ramp screw set to the barrel. The rear sight is a “U” notched semi-buckhorn elevator sight dovetailed into the barrel. The tang sight is flip up a “Marbles” Style tang sight with elevation adjustment.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock and forend are Checkered American walnut. The stock is a straight hand, straight comb with rubber buttpad stock. There are two sling studs present. The LOP measures approximately 13.5? from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. There are scattered light compressions and a few draglines and scratches on the stock and very minimal marks on the left side of the forend. There is a notable chip in the wrist where the marbles sight hits when it is folded. There are no cracks in the wood. The buttpad has almost no signs of wear and is still pliable. Overall, the stocks are in about Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The barrel and tube have a few light little scuffs and draglines. There is some loading wear on the loading gate. The lever has surface scratches on both sides from being run. The action also has some small marks from use. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The rifle has been customized by SPUR for Cowboy action shooting. The safety has been deleted and filled with a flush plug. The lever is light, smooth, and fast. The trigger has also been significantly lightened. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with its factory box, trigger housing lock and keys, and a leather lever cover.
