Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “DESERT EAGLE – .41/.44 MAGNUM PISTOL / ISRAEL MILITARY INDUSTRIES LTD”. The right side of the slide is marked “MAGNUM RESEARCH INC. MINNEAPOLIS MINN. / MADE IN ISRAEL”. The left side of the barrel is marked “.44”. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number.
Barrel Length: 6″
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramped blade and is dovetailed into the top of the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch sight dovetailed into the slide. The front sight has a small tritium inlay and the rear sight has two tritium inlays to either side of the notch. The lamps are dead.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth wood with an eagle on both sides. There are a few light compressions and light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grip is in about Fine condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the polygonal rifling is strong. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 96% of its metal finish. There is some light thinning on the edges, most noticeable on the barrel at the muzzle. There are a couple of little tiny marks on the top of the barrel. There are a couple of scattered light scuffs. There is some light wear on the frontstrap from use. There are a few light handling marks. The screwheads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: For questions regarding convertibility, please contact Magnum Research. The action functions correctly but the included magazines do not lock the slide back. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a serial matching box, paperwork including the manual, and four 8-round magazines.
Our Assessment: The Desert Eagle is a fascinating pistol that incorporates a gas-piston and rotating multi-lug bolt system into a big-bore semi-automatic pistol. Its all steel construction is at once absurdly heavy and necessary as it will help dampen recoil and stop the reciprocation of the large mass of its slide from whipping the pistol out of your grip. With the solid lockup of a rotating multi-lug bolt and more than 8″ sight radius, this pistol would be at home hunting, at the silhouette range, or just informal target shooting with your range buddies. This particular example, a MK VII, is in FIne Plus condition and has a great bore and solid mechanics. It may be a little unwieldy for home defense, but it’ll put the fear of God into any intruders. Despite some saying there’s no use for the Desert Eagle it never seems to drop in popularity be it in Hollywood, video games, or in the shooting community in general.
