Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “DESERT EAGLE – .50AE PISTOL /.44 MAG / ISRAEL MILITARY INDUSTRIES LTD. (I.M.I)”. The left side of the barrel is marked “.50 AE”. The right side of the slide is marked “MAGNUM RESEARCH INC. MINNEAPOLIS MINN. / MADE IN ISRAEL”. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramped blade and is dovetailed into the top of the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch sight dovetailed into the slide. The top of the barrel has an integral rail for mounting optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is a one-piece textured black polymer with IMI logos in the middle of either side which wraps around the backstrap. There are some light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. There is some flashing from the mold on the back. The texturing is strong. Overall, the grip is in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the polygonal rifling is strong. There is no erosion. In my opinion, this bore is a 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a few scattered light handling marks. There are a couple of little nicks on the back of the slide. There are some rubs and scuffs from handling which have caused smooth spots. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are strong. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. For questions regarding convertibility, please contact Magnum Research. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included are two 7-round magazines (1x chrome, 1x blued) and a manual.
Our Assessment: The Desert Eagle is a fascinating pistol that incorporates a gas-piston and rotating multi-lug bolt system into a big-bore semi-automatic pistol. Due to being chambered for the .44 Magnum cartridge, and ease of converting to .50 AE, the frame is both large and quite heavy. Its all steel construction is at once absurdly heavy and necessary as it will help dampen recoil and stop the reciprocation of the large mass of its slide from whipping the pistol out of your grip. With the solid lockup of a rotating multi-lug bolt and more than 8″ sight radius, this pistol would be at home hunting, at the silhouette range, or just informal target shooting with your range buddies. This example is in Excellent condition and comes with one mag and a box to get you started. It may be a little unwieldy for home defense, but it’ll put the fear of God into any intruders. Despite some saying there’s no use for the Desert Eagle it never seems to drop in popularity be it in Hollywood, video games, or in the shooting community in general.
