Markings: Each side of the receiver is marked with a “Pro3” monogram, the bottom-front is marked “Ljutic / 330” and “12 GA YKM WA USA” arranged in a circle. The water table is marked with assembly number “24”, found again on the barrel lug.
Barrel Length: 34”, Porte, Raised Vent-Rib
Choke: The barrel is threaded with a Briley Modified choke installed. Improved Modified, Light Full and Full are included.
Sights / Optics: There is a green fiber optic in a base at the front of the rib. There is a smaller white mid-bead. A sight-blinder is mounted behind the fiber optic base. The top of the rib and its extension are serrated for glare reduction.
Weight: 8 lb., 12 oz.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece checkered select walnut with beavertail forend, rosewood capped pistol grip with a very slight right-side palm-swell, adjustable roll-over monte carlo comb and black rubber Kick-Eez recoil pad. The stocks have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. The drop at the comb as currently adjusted measures approximately 1 1/4” at the front of the comb, 1 1/4? at the back, and drop at heel is 2 1/8”. The LOP measures 14 5/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad, 13 1/4? to the back of the wood. The pad has some light wear and is still supple. The stocks rate in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 93% of its metal finish. The balance is mostly handling wear on the receiver and forend iron, more toward the bottom and on the right. There is some scattered light scuffing on the barrel. The action shows operational wear. . The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrel locks up to the receiver with barely perceptible play. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes in a hard case with black nylon cover, serial-matched interior embroidery, additional chokes, additional Kick-Eez recoil pad, wood spacer, assembly-number matching release-trigger assembly, choke wrench and additional fiber-optic inserts. An assortment of factory paperwork is included including operating instructions.
Our Assessment: Manufacturing only 340 Shotguns a year at its height in the early 1980s, the Ljutic facility makes these guns with pride and precision. Known for their futuristic “Space Guns”, Ljutic holds a very special place in American gunmaking history. This Ljutic LTX Pro 3 looks like it knows its way around a Trap field, showing wear consistent with being used responsibly for its intended purpose. The gorgeous stocks are in Excellent condition. The gun retains a great bore and strong mechanics, with its 34″ barrel and the option of either a pull- or release-trigger, this shotgun ought to have quite a few rounds of trap left in it. This gun will make an interesting addition to any collection, with only a few thousand guns made since their founding in the 1950s, Ljutic shotguns always make for a great conversation piece.
