Our Assessment:  The Kimber Model 82C from the Clackamas, Oregon era represents one of the finest American made rimfire bolt action rifles of the late twentieth century. Kimber of Oregon built its reputation on producing high quality sporting rifles with an emphasis on accuracy, craftsmanship, and clean design, and the Model 82 series became especially well regarded among target shooters and small game hunters. The 82C variant reflects a more refined sporting configuration, with a 22 inch barrel, smooth bolt operation, and a reputation for excellent out of the box accuracy. Rifles from the Clackamas production period are particularly sought after due to their fit, finish, and consistency.

Chambered in .22 Long Rifle, the widely used rimfire cartridge introduced in 1887 and long favored for precision shooting and economical practice, this example retains approximately 99 percent of its original blued finish with virtually no visible wear. The bore is very bright with sharp rifling and no erosion, rating 10 out of 10. The checkered walnut stock remains in excellent condition, and the rifle includes one 4 round detachable magazine along with its factory box and hang tag. With its Clackamas manufacture, excellent bore, and near new condition, this Model 82C represents a high quality example of a precision rimfire sporting rifle.
