Our Assessment: The Johnson Automatics Model 1941 is a historically significant and collectible semi-automatic rifle, known for its innovative design and limited use by the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. The rotary magazine and ability to reload without emptying the magazine set the Johnson apart from its contemporaries, such as the M1 Garand.

This example, with a 22-inch barrel, is in very good condition, retaining over 90% of its original parkerized finish. The bore is semi-bright and reflective with sharp rifling, rated 8/10. While the stock shows a repaired crack behind the tang, it remains structurally sound. The area where the bayonet lug and band were removed shows finish loss, but the rifle is otherwise functional.

For collectors, enthusiasts, or historians, this Johnson Automatics Model 1941 is a valuable addition to any military firearm collection. Its innovative design and historical significance make it a standout piece for display, preservation, or use at the range. So bid high and bid firm. I highly encourage you to take a look at the condition of the rifle in our high-quality photos. Good luck with your bid. -K.F.
