Markings: The right side of the barrel is marked “PT.” The right side of the receiver is marked “DS2-M3720080160 / DEER SLAYER 2” and depicts a deer. The left side of the barrel is marked “DS2 24″M37 DEERSLAYER 20GA 3″ CHAMBER PATENT PENDING ITHACA GUN COMPANY UPPER SANDUSKY OH USA.” The left side of the receiver is marked “ITHACA GUN COMPANY.”

Sights / Optics: The top of the receiver is equipped with a picatinny rail for mounting optics. The front and rear sight bases are empty.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a two-piece wood configuration with a raised comb, checkered and capped semi-pistol grip, checkered forend, Decelerator buttpad, and sling stud in the belly. There is an additional sling stud fixed to a base on the bottom of the barrel. The length of pull (LOP) measures 14 1/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. There are some faint handling marks but no chips or cracks. The stock rates in Excellent overall condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is some very faint erosion in the grooves and sparsely found on the lands. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 8/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minimal handling wear with only faint marks visible. The screw heads are sharp, and the pins are unmarred. The markings are clear and well-defined. Overall, this shotgun rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
