Action Type:  Break-Open, Side by Side, Double Barrel Shotgun with Extractors

Markings: Both sides of the receiver are marked “ITHACA GUN CO.”. The bottom of the barrel flat is marked “261695”.  The Water Table is marked “261695”  Both barrels are marked “KRUPP FLUID STEEL”.

Barrel Length: 30” Approximate

Choke:  Fixed.  Both bored are CYL

Sights / Optics:  The front sight is a bead atop the checkered barrel rib.

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The stocks are two piece checkered wood with semi-pistol grip, straight comb, Ithaca hard rubber buttplate, and checkered forend. The LOP measures 13 1/2” and 14 1/4” from the front of the triggers to the rear of the buttplate. The checkering is defined but dulled. There are nicks, scratches, compression marks, and scuffs throughout. There are some deeper scuffs and a small crack at the bottom of the busstock where the buttplate attaches.  Overall the stocks are in Good condition for C&R.

Type of Finish: Blued, Case Colored

Finish Originality: original.

Bore Condition:  Both bores are bright. There is some minor erosion scattered throughout.  In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 9/10 for C&R.

Overall Condition:  This shotgun retains about 80% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish is intermittent with arrears worn white, other parts gone patina, and others retaining some of its refinish.  There is scattered oxidation on the barrel and frame. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun is in very Good condition for C&R.

Mechanics:  The action functions correctly.  We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
