Markings: The top of the barrel shank is marked “BP3381 / RE TERNI MADE ITALY / 1941 XIX”. The top of the barrel in front of the rear sight is marked “CAL 6.5”. The bolt is marked “E”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a fixed blade dovetailed to the top of the barrel. The rear sight is an open non-adjustable V-Notch. Mounted to the left side of the receiver is a Weaver marksman scope. The reticle is a fine crosshair, The sight picture is clear. The scope rates in Very Good condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: 2 piece wood stock straight combe, straight grip, grooved forend, 2 sling mounts on the left side of the buttstock and forend with a nylon sling. There sre scratches and dents in the wood. There are no cracks. The LOP is 13” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in Very Good condition for a C&R

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is light erosion in the bore. In my opinion the bore rates 9 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 85% of its blue finish. The metal shows small scratches, discoloration from oxidation and areas of surface erosion. The screw heads show use and oxidation. There is spotted corrosion throughout. Overall this Carcano rifle rates in Good Condition.
Mechanics: The action functions as intended. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: scope and nylon sling
Our Assessment: This Italian Terni Carcano 91/38 is in Good condition with only moderate cosmetic wear. The bolt lock up is strong, the wood isn’t cracked, and the scope is clear.
