Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “ R01413 / PEDERSOLI CAL.45-70 CAT. 3513 MADE IN ITALY” with 3 proof stamps.

Barrel Length: 26” Octagon Barrel.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is a foldable square-notch dovetailed to the barrel.  The rear tang is mounted with a Vernier adjustable peep sight.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are a two piece smooth wood. The buttstock is a straight grip, straight comb and has a brass smooth buttplate. The handguard features a brass ring.  The stock also has some lines and compression on the bottom of the stock. The brass buttplate shows light wear.  There are a few heavier scratches on the forend.  The LOP measures 14 5/8? from the front trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stocks rate in about Very Good overall condition.

Type of Finish: The barrel is blued and the receiver, block and hammer are color case hardened.  The ring, trigger guard, and buttplate are brass.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a few very small nicks in the blueing on the barrel. The receiver also has several small nicks.  The screw heads are undamaged sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good to Excellent condition.

Mechanics: This rifle functions correctly. The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
