Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramped blade integral to the barrel, the rear sight is an adjustable square notch attached to the top strap.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The large grips are one piece smooth wood with one medallion on each side of the grips depicting the high standard logo. The grips show light handling and storage marks. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates a 9 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows very little wear from handling and storage. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions Correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver includes a wooden box with a red velvet insert, the handgun fits snugly inside. The box and insert shows moderate wear, it is Good usable condition.
Our Assessment: The High Standard Firearms Company was a manufacturer of firearms based in Houston, Texas, USA. The company was founded in 1926 and became known for producing high-quality pistols and rifles, particularly in the target shooting market. High Standard firearms were popular with competitive shooters and Olympic athletes, and the company had a reputation for producing accurate, reliable firearms. Some of their most well-known products include the Supermatic pistol series and the Olympic target rifle series.
This is a rare example of a High Standard 50th Anniversary Commemorative “Crusader”, chambered for .44 mag and has a 6.5” barrel. Only 866 Crusaders were made between 1978 and 1982 and Only 431 of the 6.5” .44 Mag revolvers were made. This example is in great shape, it is in Excellent overall condition, showing little use. This revolver has nicely preserved large wood grips that are comfortable to hold. This revolver has a good bore, a beautiful blue finish, and comes with a wooden box with red velvet insert. The right side of the revolver has a 14k gold knight holding out his sword with “Crusader” written across the blade. The Crusader is a gorgeous revolver chambered for .44 mag, they made less than a 1000 of these handguns, do not miss out on a chance to own this rare High Standard Commemorative.
