Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a square post that is soldered to the barrel. There is no provision for a rear sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The stock is a replacement one piece smooth hardwood, capped forend, three ramrod pipes, straight grip, straight comb, and smooth brass buttplate. The LOP is 13 1/2″ from trigger to buttplate. There are light scratches and compression dents throughout. There are no chips or cracks. Overall this stock is in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is gray. There is pitting and corrosion throughout. In this writer’s opinion this bore rates 6/10.
Overall Condition: This musket retains virtually none of the original finish. The metal has been buffed and scrubbed. Some of the small parts, screws and furniture look to possibly be replaced. There are scratches and nicks throughout. There is pitting scattered throughout, most notably along the barrel channel. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall this musket is in Good Condition.
Mechanics: This musket is in functional condition. The hammer holds full and half cock. The flint sparks. The touch hole is clear. We did not fire this musket. As with all used guns a full cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.

Our Assessment: This Goff-marked East India Company Pattern 1793 Type 1 musket is an antique .75 caliber flintlock muzzleloader with strong late-18th to early-19th century martial character.
