Sights / Optics: The top of the receiver has two integral picatinny rails. There are no provisions for iron sights.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is one piece checkered walnut with a pistol grip, rounded straight comb with cheek piece, rubber buttpad, schnabel forend, and two sling studs front and rear. There are no chips or cracks. The checkering is sharp. The LOP measures approximately 13 3/4″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows no operation wear. The markings are clear. There is a notable scratch on the left side of the receiver. Other than that, this rifle is pristine. The screwheads are strong. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: Anschütz has long been associated with precision rimfire and competition rifles, but the Model 1782 represents the German maker’s modern return to the full-size centerfire hunting repeater. Developed as an evolution of the earlier Model 1780, the 1782 combines Anschütz barrel and trigger craftsmanship with a contemporary bolt action, detachable magazine, and receiver machined for Picatinny-type optic mounting. The .308 Winchester chambering was offered with particularly compact barrel configurations, making the 1782 a refined, fast-handling sporting rifle while retaining the accuracy-focused character for which Anschütz is known.
This 2019 Model 1782 is an exceptionally well-preserved example, retaining approximately 99% of its original blued finish with only minor finish loss at the right scope rail. Its checkered walnut stock remains similarly clean, the bore is bright with sharp rifling and rates 10/10, and the action functions correctly. Complete with its factory case, magazine, owner’s manual, and tool, this is an attractive package for the hunter or rifleman seeking a premium German sporting rifle in the versatile .308 Winchester cartridge.
