Our Assessment: The Mauser K98 is one of the most iconic bolt-action rifles of the 20th century. This particular example was manufactured in 1943 at Waffenwerke Brünn, a major wartime production facility under German control. The K98 saw extensive use by German forces during World War II and remained in service with various nations for decades after the war.

This rifle is a solid representative of a wartime K98, complete with its original markings, military finish, and battle-worn stock. The receiver code “dot 1943” places it in the midst of WWII production, making it an excellent piece for collectors interested in German military history. The condition is well-preserved for a wartime rifle, with a strong bore and functioning action.

For collectors, reenactors, or enthusiasts looking to own a piece of World War II history, this K98 presents a fantastic opportunity. Whether displayed in a collection or used for historical shooting purposes, it remains a significant and collectible firearm.  Please see our High Quality photos and good luck with your bids.-C.M.
