Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “F.B. RADOM VIS Mod.35.Pat.Nr.15567” with three German Waffenamt and a Reichsadler. The underside of the slide is marked “C8319”. The right side of the frame is marked “C8319”. The left side of the frame has a “77” Waffenamt. The left side of the barrel lug is marked “319” (matching). There are various small proofs throughout.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a short narrow blade integral to the rib on the slide. The rear sight is a “V” notch dovetailed into the slide. There is a thin narrow rib running down the center of the entire length of the slide with fine checkering for glare reduction.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered Bakelite with “FB” in a triangle on the left, and “VIS” in a triangle on the right. There are scratches and small chips throughout. The checkering is mostly sharp. There are no cracks. Overall, the grips are in about Fair to Good condition. The backstrap is dovetailed for a stock.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: Two 8rd magazines in Excellent condition. Not serial numbered to the gun.

Bore Condition: The bore is light grey and the rifling is pronounced. There is moderate to heavy erosion throughout along with moderate pitting. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 6/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 80% of its metal finish. There is moderate thinning with scratches, nicks, and small spots of pitting throughout. There are light spots of patina throughout. The screw heads are lightly tool marked with strong slots. The markings range from clear to poorly struck (as is common). Overall, this pistol is in Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Polish VIS Model 1935 is widely regarded as one of the finest military pistols of the Second World War, combining the ruggedness of John Browning’s designs with uniquely Polish engineering refinements. Originally developed for the Polish military before the German occupation, production continued under German control following the invasion of Poland in 1939. German forces designated the pistol the P.35(p) and issued it throughout the war to military and police units. The VIS earned an outstanding reputation for reliability, durability, and accuracy, and today remains one of the most desirable Axis-issued sidearms of the Second World War. This example represents an occupation-produced pistol manufactured at the Radom factory and retains several desirable matching components, including the frame, slide, and barrel. The pistol retains approximately 80% of its original finish with moderate thinning, scattered handling wear, patina, and isolated pitting visible throughout. The original Bakelite grips remain intact and retain their desirable factory markings despite moderate wear and minor chipping. The bore remains serviceable with pronounced rifling despite moderate to heavy erosion and pitting, supporting its 6 out of 10 rating. The included magazines are not serialized to the pistol but remain desirable accessories.
Altogether, this German-issued Radom VIS Model 1935 represents an important and highly collectible World War II military sidearm. The matching numbered major components, occupation-era markings, Waffenamt proofs, and original grip panels contribute significantly to its historical and collector appeal.
