Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “FN HERSTAL / MADE IN BELGIUM”. The left side of the frame is marked “IMPORTED BY FNMI / COLUMBIA. SC. USA”. The left trigger guard bow is marked with a Belgian proof mark. The chamber is marked “Cal. 9x19mm” and the serial number. The right side of the slide is marked “HP-DAc cal.9×19”. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a tritium lamp that is dovetailed to the slide. The rear sight is a square notch with two tritium lamps that is dovetailed to the rear of the slide. The lamps have gone dark.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is one-piece checkered polymer with serrated ambidextrous shelves on either side. The grip shows light wear with no significant imperfections. There are no chips or cracks and the checkering is sharp. The grips rate in about Fine-Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is some light thinning on the trigger. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The pistol is equipped with an ambidextrous decocker. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in its original serial matching case with paperwork including the manual, one 10-round magazine, a cleaning kit, and a safety lock.
Our Assessment: The HP-DAC was the compact variant of the HP-DA. The dimensions are 173 × 27 × 93 mm, the barrel measured 173 mm and the DAC weighs 765 grams. The variant has a duo stack magazine of ten cartridges. It was designed for air force personnel. This specific example was manufactured in 2001 and is in Excellent condition. It shows little sign of use and the bore is bright with sharp rifling. This pistol is truly a beauty and an excellent choice for concealed carrying. Please see our photos and good luck!
