Markings:
The left side of the receiver is marked with “R-89055” and features a crown over “BNP” proof marking, indicating British Nitro Proof, suggesting this rifle was proofed in the UK. The barrel is marked “N.P. 9.3×62” and “272” near the chamber area. Additional marks include factory and proof stamps consistent with European manufacture.

Sights / Optics: This rifle is outfitted with a modern scope mount and rail for optics. There are no iron sights present.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a beautifully grained walnut sporter-style stock with checkered diamond patterns at the capped pistol grip and forend. It has a classic European profile with a slightly raised comb with cheek piece for better alignment with optics. The finish shows minor handling marks but remains in excellent condition. The LOP measures approximately 14.25 inches from the front of the Timney trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: The rifle features an internal magazine with a hinged floorplate, typical of Mauser actions, feeding reliably.

Finish Originality: Refinished
Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore but there is stubborn fouling throughout. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its original blued finish. The balance shows light thinning on high edges and contact points, consistent with light use. There are minor scratches and handling marks on the metal and wood components, but nothing significant. The screw heads are unmarred, and the markings remain crisp and legible. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly and has been upgraded with a Timney trigger for a lighter and crisper pull. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
