Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q.”. The right side of the slide is marked “MADE IN BELGIUM / ASSEMBLED IN PORTUGAL”. The barrel is marked “CAL 9mm LUGER / 245NX68176”. The right side of the trigger guard bow is marked with a Belgian proof. The front strap is marked with the serial number, “245NX68176”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade that has a white line, dovetailed to the slide. The rear sight is a square notch that has two white lines dovetailed to the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is a one-piece textured black rubber Hogue wraparound grip with finger grooves. The grip has no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. There are no rips or tears. Overall, the grip is in Excellent condition as not original to the gun.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is crisp. The magazine disconnect safety has been disabled. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a total of four 13-round magazines, an additional Hogue grip in its factory packaging, and a Fire Dragon threaded 9mm barrel. Two of the magazines appear to be factory, two are blued Mec Gar magazines.
Our Assessment: The Browning Hi-Power is a single-action, semi-automatic handgun available in the 9mm and .40 S&W calibers. It was based on a design by American firearms inventor John Browning, and completed by Dieudonné Saive at Fabrique Nationale (FN) of Herstal, Belgium. Browning died in 1926, several years before the design was finalized. FN Herstal initially named the design the “High Power”, which alludes to the 13-round magazine capacity, almost twice that of other designs at the time, such as the Luger or Colt M1911. This example is a beautiful Hi Power pistol from FN Browning manufactured in 1993 and assembled in Portugal, chambered for the original 9mm Luger cartridge. The pistol is in Excellent condition, appearing to have seen little use, apart from having a Hogue grip installed. An additional Hogue grip is included along with a threaded Fire Dragon barrel and a total of four magazines. This is quite the package and ought to be sending lead down range for a lifetime.
