Action Type: Semi-Automatic, fed by detachable box magazines.  

Markings: Rear top of the receiver is marked “US RIFLE / 7.62-MM M14A / FED. ORD. INC. / SO. EL MONTE, CA / 3441”. The right side of the barrel is marked “H&R 7790190 5-60-P”. The top of the bolt carrier group is marked “7790186 / A20 CO”. The rear sight is marked “WRIGHT” with “LEFT” and two arrows. The elevation knob is marked “2-10 WCE”. The trigger group is marked “7267030 66118”. The hammer “66118 5546008”. The safety is marked “H&R”. The op rod is marked “7267064 HRA”.  

Barrel Length: 22”, 25″ with the classic flash hider.  

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade set between two protective wings. The rear sight is a fully adjustable aperture sight set between two protective wings.  

Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set includes a composite handguard with a composite stock with a semi pistol grip, straight comb, two sling swivels, and a metal butt plate with storage compartment. The length of pull is 13″. The stock shows scattered minor compressions, marks and scuffs. There are no chips or cracks. There is some minor rub wear in the mag well. The butt plate door functions correctly. The butt plate shows only some minor rub marks around the edges. Overall the stock set is in about Very Good condition.  

Magazine Quantity & Condition: Includes one 20 round magazine in Very Good condition showing some wear from use. 

Type of Finish: Parkerized

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion/pitting. The bore shows some barely visible fouling. The feed ramps are smooth and shiny. The muzzle device is clean.  In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.75/10.   

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The friction surfaces of the bolt and receiver show some light wear. The finish has some scattered light surface level lines with some minor rub marks on the barrel. The markings are clear and the screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good+ condition. 

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
